Two years ago, the International Secondary School Neukirchen launched a successful environmental campaign that was very well received by the students and the community. Now the students wanted to repeat it, and so the second Green Day took place on April 8, 2020 - a day full of commitment to our environment.
The pupils and teachers gathered early in the morning to collect garbage together in the municipality of Neukirchen. With great enthusiasm and team spirit, the pupils set off to clear nature of garbage. At the end of the day, an impressive 20 large 70-liter bags were filled with garbage.
The campaign was made possible by the generous support of MITGAS and the municipality, which provided both financial support and materials. "It's great to see our students getting involved in environmental protection," said Mr. Weidhaas, Headmaster of IOS Neukirchen. "We are grateful for the support of our partners and are delighted with the positive feedback from the community."
The Green Day was a complete success and showed once again how important it is to take responsibility together.
